From Kwayera.
You are in the middle of something.
Not the beginning. Not the end. The middle. The place where most people are carrying more than they were designed to carry alone, moving faster than their wisdom can travel with them, and quietly wondering whether what they are building is actually connected to who they are.
This newsletter is for that person.
The one who is not waiting for retirement to start living with intention. The one who knows that cultural intelligence, ancestral wisdom, and the kind of joy that is rooted rather than performed are not luxuries for later. They are the foundation of everything that works right now.
That is what I have dedicated my life to. Not from theory. From practice. From decades of working with leaders across the Caribbean, Africa, and America to weave their ancestral knowing into the way they actually lead, serve, and build. Every day. In every decision.
What I know is this: when you root your practice in who you have always been, everything becomes more powerful. More clear. More yours.
The Community
The Ancient Futurist
The Ancient Futurist exists for people who understand that the most advanced thinking on earth is ancient. That the intelligence of the natural world, the traditions of indigenous communities, and the science of the present moment are not in conflict. They are in conversation.
Inside The Ancient Futurist you will find:
- The Mbongi Circle, a membership community where monthly teachings, weekly drops, live gatherings, and a growing library of ancestral knowledge and leadership wisdom meet you wherever you are in your journey.
- The Ancient Futurist podcast, where indigenous wisdom, science, and the practice of living fully come together in conversation.
- The Ancient Futurist blog, published monthly, free and open, rooted in the natural world and what it teaches us about leadership, community, and the art of becoming.
This month we are deep inside water. Osun. Olokun. Yemoja. The brackish estuary where two intelligences meet and generate more life than either could produce alone. The blog is live now.

The Application
Global Ase School of Conscientious Leadership
Most leadership development strips culture out. It treats wisdom as a side note and excellence as a western concept. The Global Ase School of Conscientious Leadership was built on the understanding that those two things are not only compatible, they are inseparable.
How do you take what your ancestors knew and bring it into the room where decisions are made? How do you lead with cultural intelligence without performing it? How do you build something that will outlast you because it is rooted in something that already has?
The Baobab Leadership Activation is a 12-week course for leaders who are ready to answer those questions operationally. Not philosophically. In practice. In their organizations, their communities, and their daily choices.
Enrollment is open. Mbongi Circle members receive their discount automatically.

The In-Person Experience
Soulful Joy Wellness and Retreats
Everything we teach, practice, and transmit through The Ancient Futurist and the Global Ase School lives in the body. And the body needs more than intellectual understanding. It needs space. Breath. Movement. The particular kind of restoration that only happens when you step completely out of your ordinary life.
Soulful Joy Wellness and Retreats creates that space. In real time. In person. With intention.
